Dr Jacqueline Luff (f)
GP Partner
She joined the practice in 2002 . She graduated from the University of Leeds in 1992 and trained as a GP in Yorkshire . She has lived in the local area since 1997 and has worked in local surgeries. She also worked for a number of years in the Diabetic clinic at the Queens Medical Centre. Dr Luff and her family are keen musicians.
Dr Duncan Gooch (m)
GP Partner
He trained at Nottingham University and joined the practice in 2010. He has particular clinical interests in medical education, joint injections and minor surgery. In addition to his patient facing roles, he also works across Derbyshire in a number of senior leadership positions. Outside of work he is a keen advocate for the local community and can often be seen supporting or coaching the local rugby team.
Dr Ruth Gooch (f)
GP Partner
Dr Ruth Gooch joined our practice as a partner in 2014. She has a keen interest in medicines and safety and serves as a Prescribing and Clinical Lead for Derby and Derbyshire ICB, chairing regional prescribing groups. Outside of her professional duties, Dr Gooch enjoys sports and is the musical director of a local community choir.
Dr Rebecca Gladstone (f)
GP Partner
She joined the practice in 2019 after completing her GP training in Derby. Dr Gladstone has a clinical interest in Women’s Health, fitting coils and implants. She is also Clinical Lead for the Erewash Aging Well programme of work. Dr Gladstone enjoys spending time with her family, including countryside walks with the dog.
Dr Tom Wright (m)
Salaried GP
He graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2017 and joined the Practice in 2022 after completing his specialist GP training. He is an active member of his local church and enjoys helping at the youth group on Fridays and Sundays, as well as volunteering on summer activity holidays for young people. Other interests include history and chess.
Dr Jonathan Sherwood (m)
Salaried GP
Dr Sherwood joined our practice as a salaried GP in 2023. He graduated from Nottingham Medical School in 2009 and completed specialist GP training in 2014. His clinical interests include general medicine, teaching trainees, and utilising technology to streamline clinical processes. Outside of work, Dr Sherwood enjoys his family time, cooking and eating good food. He is an active church member, and also enjoys camping in coastal and countryside locations.
Dr Ross Townend (m)
Salaried GP
He graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2008 and went onto to complete his GP training in Guildford/Surrey area in 2013. He previously also worked as a hospital Pharmacist prior to studying medicine. His clinical interests are therapeutics and Dermatology. He is an accredited GP with extended role in Dermatology (GPwER in Dermatology). He enjoys spending time with his family, participating in park runs and doing DIY.
Dr Allie Hill (f)
Salaried GP
She graduated from the University of Nottingham Medical School in 2017, and then completed GP Training in Derbyshire in 2022. She has a clinical interest in palliative care and reducing health inequalities. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, and can often be found hiking in the Peaks.
Dr Kateryna Arlachova (f)
Salaried GP
Dr Arlachova joined our practice in 2023 after completing her specialist GP training in Derbyshire. She graduated from a university in Ukraine in 2001. Her clinical interests include Care of the Elderly and Women’s Health, and she is also part of the Frailty team. Outside of work, Dr Arlachova enjoys spending time with her family and dog, going on long walks in the Peak and Lake District, and camping in Wales and Scotland.
Dr Saima Khan (f)
Salaried GP
Dr Saima Khan graduated from Keele University in 2017 and joined the practice in 2023. She is a dedicated GP with a strong interest in women’s health, medical leadership and medical education.
Dr Saima Khan channels her creativity through artistic pursuits. She particularly finds joy in crocheting and enjoys crafting handmade crochet clothes and blankets.
Dr Lucy Baker (f)
Salaried GP
Dr Baker completed her medical training at the University of Nottingham in 2013, GP Training in Derbyshire and joined the practice in 2021. She has an interest in frailty, working in the “Team Up Derbyshire” Team caring for housebound patients, and has completed her training as a clinical supervisor for training doctors. She is a member of a church in Nottingham and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.

Jo Wood
Nurse Practitioner
Jo qualified as a nurse in London in 1995. She then worked in A&E for 7 years, majority at QMC.
Jo finished a Bsc Hons Degree at Derby University 2005, qualifying as Nurse Practitioner. Following which, Jo started working for the out of hours services and then moved into primary care in 2012 where she has worked since.
Jo joined West Park Surgery in 2023.
In Jo’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and supporting the local rugby club.

Nurse Manager
Qualified from Nottingham and went on to work on the gynaecology unit based at the QMC for 17 years before joining the practice in 2009. Alison has specialist areas of interest including Diabetes and Women’s Health.

Practice Nurse
Qualified in Sheffield and after working in Acute Medicine at the QMC for 2 years chose to join The Golden Brook Practice in 1992. Joanne has developed a specialist interest in respiratory illness (COPD and asthma), sexual health and contraception.

We have a very hard working and approachable nursing team who do an excellent job for all of our patients. In addition to basic nursing care they have developed specialist knowledge in a number of areas.
These include Chronic Disease Management; our nurses coordinate and look after the care of all people with conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes, Emphysema, COPD, Heart Disease, Hypertension (high blood pressure), Atrial Fibrillation. Advanced wound care; Venepuncture (blood tests); Immunisations and Vaccinations; Contraception; Cervical Smears; Health checks and advice.
